Role Summary: CBS-Butler is seeking a highly skilled 3rd Line Network Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our network engineering team, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our complex network infrastructure.

Description: This role involves working on a mix of BAU (Business as Usual) and project activities. You will perform network configuration changes, upgrades, and liaise with third parties and internal teams, as well as end customers. Your expertise will be required to design, implement, and troubleshoot complex network solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain our core network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Design, implement, and troubleshoot complex network solutions, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Liaise with third-party vendors and internal teams to resolve issues and improve network operations.
  • Perform regular security audits and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for network configurations, procedures, and best practices.

Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A deep understanding of routing and switching principles, up to CCNP level.
  • An understanding of IP routing protocols, including BGP, OSPF, static routing, HSRP, and VRF.
  • Experience with firewall technologies and Cisco/Juniper family of products.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • A strong analytical mindset, with the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues.

Working Environment: As a 3rd Line Network Engineer at CBS-Butler, you will be based onsite in Berkshire, working closely with our team of experienced network engineers. You will have access to state-of-the-art equipment and tools, and will be expected to contribute to the development of our network infrastructure and services.

Security Clearance: Candidates will be required to undergo security clearance for this role. This is an essential requirement for this position, and all applicants must meet this criteria prior to commencement.
