A bit more about this role:

In this role, you will support the automation, development, maintenance, and optimization of our data pipelines, infrastructure, and reporting systems. You’ll work closely with senior data engineers to process, clean, and transform large datasets, ensuring data integrity and availability for analytics and business decision-making. You will also be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining Power BI dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights to stakeholders across the business. This position offers hands-on experience with cloud platforms, SQL databases,ETL processes, and Power BI, providing a strong foundation for growth in data engineering and business intelligence. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs, contribute to improving data workflows, and ensure reporting solutions are aligned with business goals. As part of the team, you’ll have the opportunity to learn best practices in data modeling, dashboard development, automation, and performance tuning while working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This position will also support our in-house IT admin team in maintaining the company’s IT hardware and software systems.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Very good command of the English language (written and verbal)
  • Finished university degree – in computer science or an engineering field
  • Availability to work full USA hour shift (EST, CST, MST, or PST)
  • 1-2 years of relevant work experience (fulltime) in the IT field with an emphasis on data warehouse ETL (dbt, Apache Airflow, SQL) and PowerBI
  • At least 1-2 years of work experience leveraging Power BI, Tableau, or Looker to build dynamic dashboards
  • Professional on-job experience working with Python including common libraries like scipy, pandas, scikit-learn etc. (just python coding classes do not count)
  • Must not have had any disciplinary actions regarding attendance, conduct and/or performance in the past 90 days, and must not be approaching such action.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Design, develop, and maintain interactive and visually compelling Power BI dashboards and reports to deliver actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and translate them into actionable visual analytics
  • Maintain and extend an existing data warehouse including ETL process
  • Write SQL queries to build and optimize source tables used to support Power BI Dashboards
  • Reviewing data for accuracy, completeness and consistency
  • Organizing and maintaining electronic records for a company’s databases
  • Analyzing data in order to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
  • Assisting in creating reports and proposals to present findings to management
  • Address technical issues and provide IT support to ensure smooth business operations
