The Data Engineer contributes to design, implementation, and maintenance enterprise database systems that support large-scale business operations. The team drives innovation, ensures compliance, and maintains high availability of critical data assets.

The Data Engineer contributes the strategic management of reporting database environments, ensuring their scalability, security, and efficiency. This role includes mentoring junior staff, driving database architecture decisions, and leading complex database initiatives.

Competencies:

Functional:

  • Architect and implement enterprise-level database solutions to meet organizational goals.
  • Oversee the scalability, performance, and security of the reporting database environments.
  • Lead complex migration projects, including upgrades and cloud integrations.
  • Establish and enforce database governance policies and best practices.
  • Build data pipelines for data ingestion, processing, and transformation in SSIS.
  • Work together with data scientists and analysts to understand the needs for data and create effective data workflows.
  • Create data flow solutions including Azure Synapse, Azure Data Lake, and Azure Blob Storage.
  • Conduct regular capacity planning and performance reviews.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Management, Information Systems, or related field. High School Degree or equivalent required.
  • 7+ years of experience engineering data architecture solutions in enterprise-level environments.
  • Expertise with RDBMS and distributed database technologies.
  • Strong experience using T-Sql.
  • Experience in database resource management.
  • Understand how to manage code performance.
  • Experience developing data pipelines for data ingestion, processing, and transformation in SSIS.
  • Experience building and managing SSRS portal.
  • Experience with SSIS and/or SSRS ETL tools.
  • Understand version control (Github, Teraform, CI/CD).
  • Experience with cloud services such as AWS and/or Azure.
  • Experience designing data flow solutions using Azure Synapse, Azure Data Lake, and Azure Blob Storage.
  • Efficient with code automation and building dynamic automated processes.
  • Experience with data visualization with Power BI.
  • Experience building data models representing enterprise initiatives

FLSA Status: Salary/Exempt

National Salary Range: $81,650 - 159,730

Bonus Eligible: Annual Incentive Plan (AIP)
