Key Responsibilities

  • Develops proactive and systematically determined network planning cycles to improve the quality of planning and operational efficiency.
  • Analyzes large volumes of raw data and produces operational reports to be used in the modeling process.
  • Serves as a contact for transportation data management, including data collection validation, data warehouse visibility, and quality using analytical tools (e.g., SQL and Excel).
  • Designs reports for senior-level Transportation management for review and enhanced decision-making.
  • Builds reports (Power Bi, SSRS, Scene, Excel, etc.) to visualize key data and achieve business goals.
  • Updates live data reporting connections and fields (Microsoft Azure/SSAS, Power Bi, Visual Studios).
  • Scours client data, completes reviews, and performs diligent work to ensure processes are completed on time and accurately.
  • Carries out modeling improvement (C#, C++, Python, etc.).
  • Maintains consistent and thorough communications with supervisor and various stakeholders.
  • Collaborates with UPS stakeholders to investigate system, operational, and service failures, and to create aligned solutions that result in better network performance.

Essential and Preferred Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have:

  • A Bachelor's degree (or internationally comparable degree) in an engineering, computer science, operations, or business analysis-related field.
  • At least three years of experience in a related field, or be a current UPS employee with relevant experience.
  • Experience with automation and improvement to drive business success and achieve targets.
  • Strong understanding of project planning processes, including planning activities and resources.
  • Essential knowledge of risk management basics.

Preferred candidates will have:

  • A Graduate degree in an engineering, computer science, planned operations, or business analysis-related field.
  • Experience within the Logistics, Transportation, or Supply Chain industry.
