Key Responsibilities

As a Customer Service Representative, you'll be responsible for:

  • Providing Superior Service: Receive in-bound calls from customers and provide exceptional service that exceeds their expectations.
  • Listening and Problem-Solving: Listen to customers' concerns, solve problems, answer questions, and work with them to find a resolution while showing empathy.
  • Proactive Problem-Solving: Take the initiative to understand customers' current challenges, solve them, and use your expertise to proactively help them avoid future challenges.
  • Adapting to Change: Adapt to changing situations and work well in a fast-paced environment, using technology to multi-task and stay organized.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED: A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Prior Experience: 0-3 years of prior experience in a customer-facing role is preferred.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Strong verbal, written, and listening skills are essential, as well as great communication skills and a love for talking to people.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail is required, as well as the ability to think outside the box to resolve problems.
  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt to change and work well in a fast-paced environment is essential.
  • Technology Skills: Ability to multi-task using technology is required.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

This is a full-time job that requires:

  • General Office Demands: Working in a general office environment with moderate physical demands.
  • Flexible Scheduling: Ability to work varying schedules throughout the year, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Training: Completion of Assurant's comprehensive training program is required to equip you with the tools and knowledge to meet our customers' needs.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive pay range of $14.04-$21.76, depending on your background, experience, and work location. Additionally, we provide:

  • Medical Benefits: Medical benefits begin on your first day.
  • Tuition Reimbursement: Tuition reimbursement is available after 6 months, up to $5000 annually.
  • Paid Time Off: Competitive paid time off, including holidays.
