Job Summary

As a Customer Engineer in our Security team, you will be responsible for working closely with our clients to understand their security and cloud application development needs, and providing expert guidance and support to help them achieve their goals. You will work collaboratively with our Security Deals and Google Cloud groups to identify and qualify business opportunities, resolve client technical and compliance issues, and develop strategies to overcome technical blockers. You will also be responsible for showcasing and approving our cloud security solutions in client and partner environments, and delivering technical presentations, product briefings, and demos to clients, partners, and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

* Work with Security Deals and Google Cloud groups to identify and qualify business opportunities, figure out client technical and compliance issues, and develop strategies to determine technical blockers.

  • Showcase and approve our cloud security solutions in client and partner environments.
  • Support Google Cloud Security opportunities and connections, own technical aspects of solutions, and deliver technical presentations, product briefings, and demos to clients, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Plan and deliver product messaging to feature our solutions offer using procedures including presentations, product demos, white papers, trial management, and response reports.
  • Attend client sites, meetings, and other related events where relevant.

Essential Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as computer science, engineering, or mathematics.

  • At least 4 years of experience in a customer-facing role, with a strong background in security and cloud application development.
  • Experience in network security, including threat recognition, malware knowledge, cloud security management, or identity and access management frameworks.
  • Strong technical skills, including proficiency in cloud security solutions, threat detection, and incident response.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

* Master's degree in a relevant field, such as computer science, engineering, or mathematics.

  • Certification in the Cloud or Security industry.
  • Experience in carrying out security assessments for clients, including threat identification and hunting, malware knowledge, cloud security management, or identity and access management frameworks, or SIEM and TAP.
  • Knowledge of market trends in the network security industry, including ransomware, attack frameworks, zero trust, and other emerging threats.
  • Ability to think critically and solve complex problems, with a strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.

* Strong technical skills, including proficiency in cloud security solutions, threat detection, and incident response.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and product development.
