Schedule and Work Environment

As a Technical Customer Support Representative, you'll work a flexible schedule from Tuesday to Saturday, preferably from 10am to 6pm CT. Our work environment is designed to foster collaboration, creativity, and innovation. You'll have the opportunity to work from home, enjoying the comfort and flexibility that comes with remote work. Job Duties

As a Technical Customer Support Representative, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Identifying, investigating, and resolving customer questions or problems with computer software and hardware
  • Providing email, chat, and telephone support to end-users experiencing technical difficulties
  • Applying knowledge of computer software, hardware, and procedures to solve problems
  • Guiding users through diagnostic and troubleshooting processes, which may include the use of diagnostic tools and software and/or following verbal instructions
  • Identifying and escalating support situations requiring urgent attention
  • Tracking and routing support requests via computerized ticketing system; thoroughly documenting resolutions
  • Staying current with product upgrades, system information, and business updates
  • Collaborating with other team members to research and resolve problems
  • Performing other related duties as assigned

Required Skills and Abilities

To succeed in this role, you'll need to possess:

  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn an array of computer hardware and software
  • A thorough understanding of computer software and hardware, including desktop computers, network devices, and peripherals
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • A professional and pleasant telephone manner
  • The ability to explain technical issues to technical and non-technical customers
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • A willingness to have telephone conversations monitored for quality assurance

Education and Experience

While not required, we prefer candidates with:

  • An Associate's degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in customer technical support

Physical Demands

As a Technical Customer Support Representative, you'll need to be able to:

  • Sit for the duration of the workday
  • Use a keyboard, headset, and computer monitor for the workday
