Role and Responsibilities: As a Postal Associate, you will support daily operations by ensuring accurate mail handling, providing frontline customer service, and maintaining USPS standards of reliability and efficiency. - Sort, process, and distribute incoming and outgoing mail and packages
- Operate mail-processing machinery and equipment safely and efficiently
- Assist customers with mail services, postage purchases, and tracking inquiries
- Verify addresses and ensure proper postage has been applied
- Maintain records and documentation related to mail transactions
- Support retail operations at USPS branches, including cashier and counter duties
- Ensure compliance with USPS policies, safety regulations, and procedures Required Skills and Experience:
- High attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal communication and customer service abilities
- Ability to lift and carry up to 70 lbs regularly and work on your feet for extended periods
- Basic proficiency in using handheld scanners and computer systems
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in mail handling, logistics, or customer service
- Familiarity with USPS procedures and equipment
