Responsibilities

As a Licensed Property and Casualty or Personal Lines Insurance Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for providing outstanding support to existing members of our client's insurance program. This is a non-sales role, and you will not be required to engage in cold calling. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Fielding inbound communication (phone, email, chat, social media, etc.) from our client's members regarding their insurance needs
  • Utilizing your knowledge of personal lines insurance to help members with quotes, new business, rating, policy, billing, payment, underwriting, contract, and coverage provisions, and premium changes
  • Conducting research and presenting customers with resolutions to their issues
  • Corresponding with customers, clients, insurance carriers, and internal sources to provide coverage information and policy recommendations
  • Executing various client service transactions, including policy endorsements, certificates, binders, cancellations, or other tasks
  • Adhering to performance metrics and quality standards

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications:

  • High-speed Internet via wired ethernet connection (no Wi-Fi, Satellite, or Cellular Hotspot or Cellular Internet)
  • Upload speed of 5 Mbps; Download speed of 50 Mbps
  • Internet service provider (ISP) must be highly stable with 1% or less packet loss Latency under 100ms
  • Available cell phone or tablet and ability to install our required 2FA software for Multifactor authentication
  • Active Resident Property and Casualty or Personal Lines License
  • Minimum 1 year of customer service experience required
  • 1 year of call center experience is required
  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Professional, articulate voice and listening skills
  • Ability to maintain member privacy
  • Internet & research skills: ability to research and quickly become an expert in a variety of subjects
  • Computer savvy and able to resolve minor technical issues with minimal assistance
  • Typing 25 words per minute with 90% accuracy
  • Ability to critically think through situations and solutions
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced, and at times, hectic environment while maintaining a professional attitude
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently and adhere to assigned schedule with minimal assistance
  • At ease with multi-tasking in several computer applications at once while holding a conversation with a customer
