Workers' Compensation Case Manager (Remote)

As a Workers’ Compensation Case Manager at The Wilson PC, you will be the central point of contact for clients navigating the WC process. You will ensure that clients receive compassionate support, timely communication, and strong advocacy throughout their case. This role focuses on coordinating medical treatment, monitoring benefits, managing case files, and preparing cases for resolution, all while collaborating closely with attorneys, insurance adjusters, and medical providers. Responsibilities:

  • Initiate timely communication with all new WC intakes, responding the same business day (or within 24 hours at the latest).
  • Provide ongoing education about WC process, client rights, and available benefits.
  • Maintain consistent outreach to clients to build trust, answer questions, and guide them through each step.
  • Communicate with WC insurance adjusters to confirm coverage, wage benefits, and monitor claim status.
  • Ensure timely continuation of income benefits (TTD, TPD, PPD) and assist with benefit disputes or interruptions.
  • Track and explain client eligibility for mileage reimbursement, vocational rehab, and other WC benefits.
  • Coordinate medical treatments with authorized treating physicians, specialists, and independent medical examiners.
  • Gather and organize all medical records, work status reports, and impairment ratings.
  • Monitor client progress toward maximum medical improvement and provide updates to attorneys.
  • Maintain complete and organized case files with medical, wage, and insurance documentation.
  • Assist attorneys with drafting WC forms, correspondence, and settlement packages.
  • Prepare case files for mediation and settlement by gathering impairment ratings, wage histories, and medical evidence.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in Workers’ Compensation case management, insurance claims, or related legal/medical field preferred
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • High attention to detail in managing legal and medical documentation
  • Ability to adapt to and work effectively with legal systems, tools, and technology
  • Comfortable and effective working in a remote environment
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating within a small, fast-paced legal team
  • Strong ethical standards and the ability to handle confidential information
  • Compassionate, empathetic, and client-focused
