Veterinary Technician - Animal Caregiver for Dog Rescue

Description The Medical Caregiver at Their Voice Rescue is a hands-on Vet Tech role that involves working closely with dogs both inside and outside their kennels. Compensation and Benefits

Starting salary ranges from (35,000 to )38,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.   • Licensed Veterinary Technician certification

Responsibilities

  • Perform intake evaluations and maintain medical records for all dogs
  • Manage the overall health and well-being of the dogs in care
  • Administer medications, treatments, and vaccines as required
  • Oversee cleanliness and organization of dog kennels and living areas
  • Transport dogs to and from veterinary appointments
  • Collaborate with team members on behavioral and health issues
  • Assist in training new staff and volunteering recruitment activities
  • Maintain an organized schedule for veterinary visits and checkups

Qualifications

  • Licensed Veterinary Technician (certification required)
  • Experience in veterinary clinics and rescue organizations
  • Strong desire to work with rescue dogs and within the rescue community
