Jr. Project Manager

Aptly Technologies seeks a highly motivated Jr Project Manager to support critical infrastructure buildouts within MS Azure Core Services. This role involves driving successful project delivery and collaborating closely with engineering, operations, and support teams while utilizing cloud technologies and exceptional project management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Project Planning & Execution: Develop and maintain project plans within Azure DevOps (ADO), defining scope, deliverables, and timelines. Define milestones, establish ETAs, and prioritize tasks. Ensure adherence to project timelines and objectives. Identify and manage dependencies
  • Communication & Reporting: Facilitate communication among project team members, stakeholders, and leadership. Deliver project updates through various channels, including weekly reports, MBRs, and QBRs. Communicate project status, risks, and mitigation strategies
  • Incident & Problem Management: Use Microsoft's ICM system to track and resolve engineering incidents. Identify recurring issues and initiate problem management processes. Drive process improvements to enhance service reliability
  • Data Analysis & Insights: Analyze project data using KQL and other analytics tools, identify trends, and extract insights. Create visualizations and dashboards with Power BI and within Azure Data Explorer to communicate project performance and incident trends
  • Risk & Mitigation Management: Identify, assess, and document project risks. Develop and implement mitigation strategies. Escalate critical risks to stakeholders and leadership. Execute problem management processes to prevent future incidents. Identify opportunities for process improvement

Skills

  • Proven experience with cloud infrastructure and an understanding of Azure services
  • 1-2 Years of Project Management experience
  • Success in managing complex technical projects, with knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall)
  • Proficiency in KQL or SQL to analyze large datasets and extract insights
  • Proficiency in using MS Excel, PowerBI, and ADE
  • Experience with Microsoft ICM system for incident management, monitoring performance, and driving engineering improvements through RCAs and repair items
  • Experience with Power BI to create dashboards and reports
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders
  • Proficiency in Azure DevOps (ADO) and familiarity with other MS Project management tools
  • Experience with Azure Core Services or similar large-scale cloud infrastructure projects
  • Certifications in Azure or project management (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, PMP)
  • ICM administration experience; SharePoint site manager experience; ADO organization or project admin experience
