The State of Montana's Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) is seeking an IT Systems Support 1 to provide technical support within the Technology and Services Division. The role involves assisting various stakeholders with technical issues and ensuring effective documentation of support requests.

Responsibilities

  • Provide first and second level technical support and advice to employees, contractors, providers, tribal agencies, state and local municipalities, and law enforcement
  • Answer support requests through a help desk line, email messages, online submissions, etc
  • Resolve technical problems for end users
  • Document support calls including basic network incidents

Skills

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, Microsoft Operating Systems, personal computers and peripherals
  • Ability to perform software and hardware troubleshooting
  • Excellent customer service, patience, and interpersonal skills
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related technology field
  • Experience with help desk operations and technical support are preferred
  • Other combinations of education and experience may be considered on a case-by-case basis
