Tax Experienced Associate

Withum is a company where talent thrives and offers numerous opportunities for growth. The Experienced Tax Associate will prepare complex tax returns, research tax matters, and manage multiple engagements while providing support to the team.

Responsibilities

• Preparing complex individual, trust, partnership and corporate tax returns
• Researching and drafting memorandum involving complex tax matters
• Identifying tax planning opportunities
• Handling and resolving tax controversies
• Managing multiple engagements concurrently with various teams to efficiently meet client deadlines
• Providing supervision, training and support to the engagement staff and promote open communication to the engagement partner and manager

Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
• Licensed CPA, or working towards CPA certification
• At least one year of prior experience working in the tax department of a public accounting
• Excellent analytical and technical tax skills
• Exceptional client service and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships
• Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing projects in a rapidly growing, fast-paced, interactive, results-based team environment
• Excellent analytical, organizational, project management skills, and strong attention to detail
• Ability to travel as needed
• Masters of Science in Taxation is preferred but not required
