Underwriting Assistant
HUB International is a leading specialty insurance brokerage, and they are seeking an Underwriting Assistant to support the PartnerOne Underwriting Team. This role involves handling post-binding policy transactions, providing customer service, and serving as a liaison between agents, brokers, and underwriters to ensure smooth operations.
Responsibilities
- Handling of all post binding policy transactions including the processing of endorsements, cancellation, reinstatements and audits
- Customer Service (answering phones, general correspondence)
- Liaison between Agents, Brokers and Underwriters to ensure proper flow of requests
- Finalize and maintain internal files
- Various Marketing and Accounting Functions
- Process and review insurance policies
- Specialized projects for different departments
- Serve as a back-up for other jobs as necessary
Skills
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Less than 1 year of experience in customer service or similar type role
- Intermediate level experience with MS Word and Excel
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to collaborate with others
- Prior insurance experience preferred, but willing to train
