[Remote] Lock Desk Analyst I
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. First Colony Mortgage is seeking a Lock Desk Analyst I to support the daily functions of the lock desk and gain foundational knowledge of mortgage pricing and loan locks. This entry-level role focuses on data entry, communication, and the accurate handling of lock requests while learning the tools and policies governing the lock desk process.
Responsibilities
- Assist with daily processing of lock, re-lock, extension, and change requests
- Enter and verify pricing data within the loan origination system and pricing engine
- Monitor lock activity and ensure accurate data recording for audit and reporting purposes
- Communicate with internal stakeholders regarding lock confirmations and status updates
- Maintain detailed documentation and assist in maintaining operational logs
- Support special projects or lock audits as assigned by leadership
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field (or in progress)
- 0–1 years of experience in mortgage lending or financial services preferred
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and data entry processes
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Willingness to learn LOS and pricing engine systems
- Attention to detail and data accuracy
- Basic Excel knowledge (sorting, filtering, formulas)
- Clear written and verbal communication
- Eagerness to learn secondary marketing and pricing principles
- Dependability in meeting deadlines and task execution
- 0–1 years of experience in mortgage lending or financial services preferred
