Summer Intern, Engineering Technology Solutions
The Port Authority of New York & New Jersey is seeking a Summer Intern for their Engineering Technology Solutions unit. The role involves providing technology-based support, data governance, and hands-on experience with current technologies related to engineering construction projects.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and create content and apps within our SharePoint Engineering Intranet (EOL) and/or with Microsoft DEVOP toolset
- Work with the development team to test and perform minor application changes to existing applications (.NET Framework, C#, SQL, Power Apps)
- Work with Engineering’s SaaS solutions in our cloud environments - Trimble, Kahua, Azure platforms
- Work with our Process Automation team to identify and implement advanced “AI” enablement solutions using Microsoft platforms (Foundry, Copilot)
- Help maintain databases and data warehouses to ensure data accuracy and concurrency
- Work with the HW/SW support team to support desktops, servers, and Azure working closely with our TECH Department
Skills
- Enrollment at a college or university at the time of the internship
- Major in Computer Science, Data Science or related discipline
- Strong communication skills
- A good team player
- Good with Microsoft Office Suite
- Familiar with programming language, such as SQL, C#, Python
- Understanding of Microsoft SharePoint environment
- Familiar with Office 365 toolset – Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI
- Understanding and some experience working with AI technologies
- Some knowledge of Azure Cloud Services
