They are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk responsible for preparing, reviewing, and maintaining clients’ financial records related to sales tax, ensuring accuracy and compliance with filing deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Preparing, reviewing, and maintaining clients’ financial records, specifically related to sales tax
- Confirming the accuracy of financial records
- Timely and accurately preparing, filing, and paying clients’ sales tax returns across the U.S. and Canada
Skills
- Detail-oriented and experienced accounting or bookkeeping professional
- Problem-solving skills
- Genuine passion for delighting clients
- Extreme attention to detail
- Expertise working within Excel
- Familiarity with accounting and tax software programs such as QuickBooks Online, Shopify, WooCommerce, NetSuite, Avalara, TaxJar, and other commonly used software programs
- Well organized
- Effective at time management and prioritization
- Ability to learn quickly and be open-minded to learning/acquiring new skills
- Ability to receive feedback and constructive criticism
- Prior experience with filing sales tax returns
