Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to customer inquiries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Emergency situations will be escalated to the appropriate staff, and records of all interactions will be maintained
  • Guide customers through their plan benefits, policies, and procedures, ensuring they understand their options and resources
  • Build a personal connection with our customers, taking the time to understand their needs and provide tailored support
  • Anticipate customer needs, providing relevant information and addressing unasked questions to ensure a seamless experience
  • Utilize customer support frameworks to make informed financial decisions and resolve customer issues
  • Explain customer limitations according to contract and process claim referrals, new case handoffs, nurse reviews, complaints, and requests
  • Assist providers with self-service options, credentialing, and re-credentialing issues
  • Handle document review requests, prepare protest pattern reports, and aid in integrating claim data for customer reviews
  • Determine clinical needs, relevant coverage policies, and verify customer plan eligibility

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Customer service experience in a transaction-based environment, such as a call center or retail store, is preferred
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and maintain accuracy and production standards
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to empathize with customers
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook
  • Technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail are essential
