[Remote] Group Underwriting Best Practice Analyst

The Group Underwriting Best Practice Analyst will support the development and optimization of underwriting tools and processes, ensuring efficiency and accuracy while collaborating with various internal teams.

Responsibilities

  • Support and enhance underwriting tools
  • Maintain and update documentation to ensure compliance with business requirements
  • Analyze data using Excel, Power BI, VBA, PL/SQL, and Power automate
  • Coordinate business requests and follow through to resolution
  • Collaborate with IT, Finance, Actuarial, and other internal teams to align underwriting practices with business goals

Skills

  • Post-secondary diploma or degree with a focus in Business Administration, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Statistics, or related field
  • 1-3 years in group underwriting, insurance, or data analysis (internships or relevant academic experience are considered)
  • Proficiency in Excel and willingness to learn advanced tools like Power BI
  • Bilingualism (French and English) is required to meet business needs
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and great attention to detail in a fast-paced work environment
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work independently to meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical thinking and solid technical skills
  • Motivation, determination, team spirit, and autonomy
