Senior Cloud Network Engineer with Automation Expertise

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement cloud network infrastructure including VPC, VPN, and Cloud Interconnect
  • Manage DNS records across cloud-native solutions and integrate with BlueCat Centralized DNS and DHCP management
  • Develop and enforce network policies, procedures, and standards
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and reliability
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design network solutions that meet business requirements
  • Automate network tasks using scripting languages and tools to improve efficiency
  • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in cloud networking and DNS management
  • Manage network security principles and practices to protect cloud environments
  • Maintain IP addressing and subnetting schemes for optimal network design
  • Use network monitoring tools such as ELK and SolarWinds to observe network health
  • Participate in on-call rotation and provide remote support as needed

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of cloud networking services including VPC, VPN, Cloud Interconnect, and Cloud DNS with 3+ years experience
  • Experience with Cloud and BlueCat servers and DNS management
  • Proficiency in network security principles and practices
  • Strong understanding of network protocols and services including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP
  • Deep knowledge of IP addressing, CIDR notation, and subnetting
  • Experience with network automation tools and scripting languages such as Python and Terraform
  • Working experience with Jenkins Pipeline
  • Proficiency in network monitoring tools like ELK and SolarWinds
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work remotely and participate in on-call rotation
  • English language proficiency at B2 (Upper-Intermediate) level

Nice to have

  • Professional Cloud Network Engineer certifications (GCP, AWS, Azure)
  • Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes and Docker
