Marketing Assistant

Pinky Swear Foundation is a nonprofit that provides financial support to kids with cancer and their families. They are seeking a part-time Marketing Assistant to help evaluate and strengthen their marketing efforts through social media engagement and media relations support.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and engage with comments, partner organizations, and cancer-related influencers
  • Serve as a point of contact for the development team on social interactions with third-party fundraisers
  • Research social media best practices and make suggestions to marketing team
  • Draft news releases and media alerts
  • Support follow-up with journalists and media contacts
  • Assist with organizing stories, photos, and quotes from families and partners
  • Help track basic analytics for social media and media campaigns
  • Provide support for events as needed

Skills

  • Proficiency and passion across all major social media platforms including Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok and YouTube
  • Highly collaborative, creative, curious, energetic, and self-directed with demonstrated ability to work as part of a team
  • Excellent strategic thinking, analytical skills, and attention to detail
  • Commitment to Pinky Swear Foundation's mission, vision, and values
  • Bachelor's degree in progress or completed in marketing, public relations or similar field or equivalent lived experience preferred
