Job Summary Houston Skilled Consultancy is seeking a skilled and experienced .NET Core Developer to join our back-end development team. This is a remote position where you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable APIs and web services for enterprise-grade applications. The ideal candidate is proficient in back-end technologies, especially within the Microsoft stack, and thrives in a collaborative, agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • *

Design, develop, and maintain scalable and high-performance backend systems using .NET Core.

  • *

Build robust RESTful APIs and integrate with front-end applications and third-party systems.

  • *

Collaborate closely with front-end developers, QA engineers, DevOps, and product managers.

  • *

Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices and coding standards.

  • *

Optimize existing systems for performance and scalability.

  • *

Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and sprint planning.

  • *

Implement and maintain security and data protection protocols.

  • *

Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects and issues in a timely manner.

  • *

Contribute to continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.

  • ✅ Required Skills and Qualifications
  • *

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • *

Strong command of .NET Core / .NET 5+, C#, and Entity Framework Core.

  • *

Experience in developing RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.

  • *

Proficiency with SQL Server, stored procedures, and query optimization.

  • *

Solid understanding of OOP, design patterns, and SOLID principles.

  • *

Familiarity with Azure or other cloud platforms is highly desirable.

  • *

Knowledge of Docker and containerized environments is a plus.

  • *

Good understanding of version control systems like Git.

  • *

Ability to write unit and integration tests using xUnit/NUnit or similar frameworks.

3+ years of hands-on experience as a Back-End Developer working with .NET Core.

Proven track record of building enterprise-level web applications and APIs.

Flexible remote schedule based on 40 hours per week.

Core collaboration hours: 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM IST (adjustable based on team location).

Occasional availability for international meetings across time zones.
