About the Role

We are currently seeking a Part-Time Customer Service Specialist who will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service through various communication channels, including inbound and outbound calls, emails, chats, and social media. As a key member of our customer service team, you will work closely with both internal and external customers to ensure a high-quality customer experience, drive business growth, and build lasting relationships. Key Responsibilities

  • Answering phones, chats, social media, and emails in a polite, courteous, and professional manner, ensuring that all customer interactions are positive and productive.
  • Building and maintaining strong business relationships with customers, identifying their needs, and providing tailored solutions to meet those needs.
  • Asking probing questions to identify customer issues or concerns, and using effective problem-solving skills to resolve them in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date customer account information, ensuring that all records are complete and current.
  • Utilizing next call avoidance techniques to mitigate future customer questions and concerns, and scheduling delivery orders as needed.
  • Handling general customer issues, such as service order input, executing emergency scripts, closing uncontrollable loss accounts, answering contract information questions, and addressing basic pricing inquiries.
  • De-escalating customer situations using our customer complaint resolution policy, and providing exceptional customer service to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Sending statements and invoices to customers, performing soft collections for customers on credit hold or past due, and handling cash transactions and payments over the phone.
  • Supporting the set-up of new customer accounts, ensuring a seamless onboarding process and a positive customer experience from the outset.
  • Meeting or exceeding minimum performance standards outlined in company policy, and continually striving for excellence in all aspects of the role.

Essential Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, with a strong foundation in customer service principles and practices.
  • 1 or more year(s) of customer service experience, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional customer experiences and building strong relationships.
  • Exceptional customer service and negotiation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong organizational skills, with experience in typing and data entry, and the ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on team building, collaboration, and developing a positive rapport with colleagues and customers.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Access, with the ability to learn and adapt to new software and systems.
  • Must be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the United States, with the ability to provide documentation as required.

  • Previous experience in a customer-facing role, with a strong understanding of customer service principles and practices.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve customer issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Experience working with customer relationship management (CRM) software, with the ability to learn and adapt to new systems and technologies.
