Who We Are At Framework, we believe the time has come for products that are designed to last. Founded in San Francisco in 2019, our mission is to remake Consumer Electronics to respect people and the planet. We've started with two award-winning products, the Framework Laptop 13 and 16. Our laptops are thin, light, high-performance notebooks that can be upgraded, customized, and repaired in ways that no other notebook can. Alongside this, we've launched the Framework Marketplace to enable an ecosystem of parts and modules. We've seen a fantastic reception to both of our laptops from customers and reviewers from outlets like Linus Tech Tips, Ars Technica, and multiple Wirecutter reviews (including a recommendation among the best Windows Ultrabooks of 2024), along with making TIME's Best Inventions lists in 2021 and 2023. As a company, we were #35 on Fast Company's Most Innovative Companies of 2022. We come from successful consumer electronics startups including the founding team of Oculus, and have closed multiple rounds of funding to fuel our roadmap. Even better (and maybe unusually for an early stage startup), we're in a financially healthy position going forward off of our product revenue. We care deeply about building a diverse and inclusive team, and we hope you do too! We are looking for a Supply Demand Planner and Buyer to join our growing Supply Chain team. We have a one-of-a-kind supply chain complexity for our company mission and product offering. The ideal candidate is a self-starter and problem-solving oriented team player who drives optimal supply to deliver our products and mission to the broadening customer base. This is a remote position open to anywhere within the US or Canada, with a preference for the San Francisco Bay Area. We have an office in San Francisco where we meet one day a week for local team members. What You'll Do - Develop and maintain short-term +3 months, mid-term +6 months, rolling, and yearly long-term forecasts at multiple levels of aggregations, by analyzing historical data and trends as well as soliciting input from cross-functional teams. - Develop and maintain optimal inventory targets by product. - Generate demand forecast to vendors in regular cadence and execute procurement operations, including timely purchase order placement, maintenance, and expediting when needed. - Actively engage with operation program managers, GSMs, and manufacturers to ensure OTD under capacity and materials constraints. - Manage NPI for on-time product launch and product EOL without excess. - Improve planning efficiency with process establishments and system enhancements. What You Need - 5+ years of experience in forecasting, planning, and ERP systems. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Strong analytical skill and advanced Excel user. - Ability to navigate complex supply chain environments with a big-picture view and provide creative solutions. - Having a sense of priority and urgency to meet deadlines. What's Nice to Have - APICS certification - Strong understanding of electronics manufacturing processes - Prior experience in demand forecasting of electronics and consumer markets - Technical understanding of PCs and electronics accessories/components - Understanding of Framework’s mission and products What You'll Love - Competitive salary, equity, and health benefits - Paid company holidays plus 20 PTO days per year - Paid Parental Leave - Flexible work hours and locations, including every other Friday off! - 401K with matching for US employees - The chance to work at a startup that is making a positive social and environmental impact Apply tot his job Apply To this Job
