As a Product Design Engineer at arenaflex, you'll play a critical role in shaping the future of home and music experiences. Your expertise will be essential in bringing innovative ideas to life, ensuring that our products are not only aesthetically pleasing but also sustainable, cost-effective, and high-performing. With a focus on collaboration, creativity, and attention to detail, you'll work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and test new products that exceed customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

* Collaborate with various disciplines, including Modern Design, Projects, and cross-functional design teams, to conceptualize and develop innovative product ideas

  • Create, model, assess, and investigate new product designs, ensuring they meet customer needs and expectations
  • Lead design reviews and contribute to peer design feedback, ensuring that products are optimized for manufacturability, usability, and aesthetics
  • Present your work to cross-functional teams and leaders, effectively communicating design concepts and ideas
  • Develop detailed specifications and drawings, working closely with internal manufacturing teams and external vendors to enhance product capabilities, beauty, and manufacturability
  • Conduct failure analysis and design of experiments (DOEs) to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
  • Approve and describe product designs through various iterations, ensuring that they meet corrective and functional requirements
  • Foster deep technical expertise by taking products from concept to production, ensuring that they meet arenaflex's high standards
  • Ensure that products meet corrective and functional requirements, delivering top-tier equipment to our customers

Essential Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Design or a related field

  • Solid design fundamentals and high personal inspiration
  • Design insight: exact mechanical intuition, creative problem-solving, curious nature, and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills: verbal, visual, and written, with the ability to clearly convey design ideas and concepts
  • Experience creating parts and assemblies in 3D CAD software
  • Experience in Design for Manufacturability (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), and other relevant methodologies
  • Working knowledge of finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD)
  • Adaptability and comfort working in a rapidly evolving environment
  • Ability to travel globally (up to 20%)

Preferred Qualifications:

* Master's degree in Mechanical Design or a related field

  • Experience in product development, design engineering, or a related field
  • Familiarity with arenaflex's products and technologies
  • Strong understanding of design principles, human-centered design, and user experience (UX) design
  • Experience with design software, such as SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, or CATIA
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and version control systems
