SanMar is a company that values making a difference through their work. The Project Manager, Real Estate is responsible for overseeing real estate projects, ensuring they align with business requirements and stakeholder needs while coordinating with various teams and vendors.

Responsibilities

  • Manage real estate projects from start to finish, following established plans and ensuring they meet business and facility requirements
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to confirm project scope, goals, and deliverables
  • Coordinate with vendors, contractors, Lake Washington Partners, and internal stakeholders for successful project execution
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation such as schedules, design details, budgets, and status reports
  • Maintain clear communication with stakeholders at all levels, ensuring transparency and alignment of project goals
  • Allocate resources efficiently to achieve project milestones
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and develop mitigation plans to ensure timely delivery
  • Follow company policies and regulatory requirements throughout the project
  • Track and report on key real estate metrics, performance, and budget adherence
  • Share observations on process improvements when opportunities arise
  • Provide clear and timely updates on project progress and any risks or challenges
  • Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and collaboration within the project team
  • Travel up to 3-6 days per month to distribution centers or project sites
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Comply with all policies and standards

Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Real Estate, Project Management, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 1-3 years as a project manager working with business stakeholders in a cross-functional environment on large complex projects
  • Good understanding of real estate project planning, leasing, construction project management, facility management, and vendor negotiations
  • Experience in using project management tools such as Smartsheet, Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Office, or other similar tools
  • Experience in creating effective team environments, building strong relationships, negotiating, solving problems, resolving conflicts, and managing resources
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Experience in leading discussions that result in consensus and commitment
  • Ability to cope with pressure, changing priorities, and a fast-paced environment
  • Displays a sense of urgency to resolve issues efficiently and deliver high-quality work
  • Maintains confidentiality concerning all projects with a demonstrated ability to manage various levels of communication, as needed
  • Ability to portray a positive attitude, motivate, and lead others
  • Ability to interact with various skill sets and roles within the company, including executive leadership
