Structural Design Engineer
Epstein Architecture, Engineering and Construction is a well-respected firm with over 100 years of experience, headquartered in Chicago. They are seeking a Structural Design Engineer to join their team, responsible for creating BIM models, performing calculations, and assisting in the production of engineering plans and specifications.
Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of engineering tasks
- Work with others on the design team to design innovative and technically sound solutions
- Create BIM models
- Perform calculations, research, and structural analysis
- Assist in the production of plans, specifications, reports, etc
- Coordinate with other building design disciplines
Skills
- Masters Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is preferred
- 0-3 years of successful project experience within a consulting engineering or AE firm
- Previous experience with REVIT Structure
- Working knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook and discipline specific software packages such as Robot, RISA, RAM Structural System, RAM Concept, SAP, Tedds and Enercalc
- Awareness of other disciplines and the interrelationship of the various elements of design
- Strong analytical skills; knowledge of analysis methods
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
