New graduate registered nurses or nurses transitioning to a different level of care can immerse themselves in their new career as a Nurse Resident.As a Nurse Resident, you will work with a preceptor and educator as you progress to full, independent practice.You will plan, implement and evaluate nursing care based on the patient care plan and keep a safe, clean and therapeutic environment in accordance with the plan.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide patient-centered care with sensitivity and respect for the diversity of human experience in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
• Participates in planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care based on defined patient care plan, patient care policies and standards of care, and knowledge of the Nursing Process.
• Maintains a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic environment for patients and families in accordance with care deliver standards.
• Provides safe patient care per facility/department RN job description within the achieved competencies of the residency. Seeks clarification prior to performing skills if uncertain.
• Participates in learning activities provided.
• Seek to understand the theory supporting learning activities.

REQUIREMENTS

• Registered Nurse license in the state where work is performed
• CPR training
