Role Overview

Traliant is searching for a Senior PHP/Full Stack web application developer to join our core development team. The core development team is responsible for building, enhancing, and maintaining a scalable, user focused web application using PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and SQL. You’ll work on adding new features and functionality to our existing web application and design improvements for the platform architecture.

In this role, you will lead development of new features, contribute to architectural decisions, and continuously improve performance, maintainability, and code quality across the platform. You’ll collaborate closely with other engineers and stakeholders, bringing a thoughtful, solutions-oriented approach to complex technical challenges.

We’re looking for someone who takes ownership of their work, writes clean and well-structured code, and proactively identifies opportunities to improve systems, processes, and developer practices. This role needs to be comfortable tackling unfamiliar problems through research, experimentation and collaboration as well as stay current with evolving technologies and industry best practices.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to technical design and requirements planning, providing feedback based on grounded experience with modern frameworks, architectural patterns and best practices.
  • Develop, design and test new features across the back-end and front-end using PHP, HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
  • Write clean, efficient, reusable code.
  • Provide technical leadership through thoughtful peer code reviews and mentorship
  • Debug and remediate defects in existing back-end and front-end application code.
  • Identify and recommend improvements related to performance, scalability, security and maintainability

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional PHP application development experience.
  • Strong experience designing and architecting scalable back end systems
  • Hands-on experience with Laravel, SQL, Git, MongoDB, Docker, and shell scripting.
  • Solid understanding of object-oriented programing features and design practices.
  • Experience working in technical leadership or senior contributor role
  • Ability to understand, evaluate and improve existing codebases
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Experience building with modern front-end technologies such as Vue or React, preferred.
  • Familiarity with cloud based platforms, including AWS, preferred.
  • Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM platforms, preferred.

Washington Applicants Only: U.S. Employees will accrue 15 days of PTO for the first year of completed employment and eligible to receive 12 holidays annually.

The pay range for this position is an annual salary of $130,000-$160,000. This position is also eligible for an annual corporate bonus.
