This position is fully remote. Job summary: As a Settlements Manager, you will lead and develop a remote, cross-functional settlements team. You will be responsible for managing the lifecycle of payer or patient refund requests, ensuring accurate, compliant and timely processing of funds and credit balances. You will share in the Lumexa Imaging mission to make radiology better to improve lives.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Managing team and Supervisor
  • Oversee day-to-day Settlements operations
  • Monitor team performance
  • Positive Pay exceptions
  • Handle escalations
  • Bank uploads and voids
  • Analysis of weekly trending
  • Wire transfers
  • Monthly/quarterly reporting
  • Collaborate with leadership to identify, trend, and address root causes of issues proactively
  • Maintains a thorough understanding of federal and state regulations, as well as payer specific requirements and takes appropriate action accordingly
  • Demonstrates initiative and resourcefulness by making recommendations and communicating trends and issues to management
  • Apply strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to resolve accounts efficiently, meeting established productivity and quality standards
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Required Education

  • High School Diploma

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills; ability to analyze account details, determine appropriate action plans for collection, and apply provided tools effectively.
  • High degree of adaptability to changing procedures and a growth-oriented environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong multi-tasking skills, excellent customer service abilities, and the capacity to work independently with a problem-solving mindset

Education and Experience We Love

  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in Management of medical collections
  • Knowledge of claims review and analysis
  • Working knowledge of revenue cycle
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology and/or insurance claim terminology
  • Experience working in Imagine billing system preferred
