Field Sales Representative III CP

This territory for this  role will cover SW MO and SE KS. 

Purpose: As a Crop Protection (CP)/Seeds & Traits (S&T) Field Sales Representative, you grow Bayer’s market share across your territory by delivering a personalized customer experience, executing the Customer Engagement Process, and acting as the owner of squad-agreed business goals; you identify customer needs to build account plans and sales forecasts, craft integrated solutions with clear value propositions, negotiate and close sales, and provide agronomic support throughout the order-to-delivery journey; you drive demand generation activities, offer customer-facing agronomic recommendations, and collaborate closely with your squad to ensure seamless execution of Bayer’s commercial strategy.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Achieve assigned sales targets for Bayer seed growth, crop protection, and seed products while aligning with squad-mates to deliver shared business goals;
  • Develop and implement dealer business plans, proactively manage forecasting and inventory, and coordinate follow-ups that drive measurable results;
  • Serve as the key business consultant to retailers and dealers, articulating the differentiated value of Bayer Crop Science solutions and demonstrating product performance versus competitors;
  • Collaborate with Field Sales Reps, Customer Business Advisors, Technical Agronomists, Digital Enablement Leads, and Technology Development Representatives to maximize services, insights, and sales for preferred growers and key accounts;
  • Monitor and resolve inventory concerns, gather and analyze market intelligence, and translate data into strategic decisions for short- and long-term account plans;
  • Manage expenses, discretionary funds, and program payments to enable top- and bottom-line growth while ensuring flawless execution of national and regional marketing initiatives;
  • Lead relationships with top growers and retailers, mentor earlier-in-career Field Sales Reps, and manage area claims in line with Bayer Crop Science policies;
  • Travel approximately 60% of the time to maintain daily face-to-face engagement with growers, key customer accounts, and channel partners.

WHO YOU ARE Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

Required Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated product, portfolio, and agronomic knowledge with strong business acumen, account planning, influencing, and critical thinking skills;
  • Proven ability to drive results through initiative, assertiveness, and effective collaboration in a matrixed, fast-paced environment;
  • Financial, time, and territory management expertise with strong digital acumen and data-driven decision-making capabilities;
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, plus proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook;
  • Willingness to travel extensively, live/work in rural settings, and support teamwork across squads while mentoring peers;
  • Ability to meet DOT/FMCSA driving requirements, safely haul trailers or equipment, and pass a driving record background check.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, ideally paired with 6+ years in sales, marketing, account management, or agriculture; alternatively, 10+ years of relevant experience with another education level;

 This role will be posted at least until 4/7/26.

Employees can expect to be paid a salary of approximately between $90,640.00- $135,960.00.Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant).  Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc..  This salary (or salary range) is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant’s location, market data/ranges, an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
