As a key member of our customer service team, you will be responsible for handling incoming calls, managing patient information, processing orders, and providing exceptional customer service to patients, healthcare providers, and referral sources.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Customer Service Representative (Hybrid), you will be responsible for:

  • Handling incoming calls from patients, healthcare providers, and referral sources in a courteous and professional manner
  • Providing accurate information and assistance based on caller needs
  • Accurately entering new patient details into the company's computer system, including personal information, diagnosis, physician details, product requirements, and insurance information
  • Maintaining up-to-date and precise records of all patient interactions and transactions
  • Securing written orders from physicians and verifying patient insurance coverage
  • Generating and processing orders efficiently, ensuring all necessary information is complete and accurate
  • Keeping customers and referral sources informed about the status of their orders
  • Conducting follow-up calls to ensure satisfaction and address any additional needs or concerns
  • Managing a multi-line switchboard, directing calls to the appropriate departments or personnel as needed
  • Ensuring that calls are answered promptly and routed correctly to minimize wait times
  • Providing exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and offering support
  • Advocating for patients by ensuring they receive the necessary information and resources
  • Working closely with other departments and team members to ensure seamless operations and patient care

Requirements:

* High school diploma or equivalent

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • 3 years of experience in a call center or customer service role, preferably within a healthcare setting
  • Proficiency in using computer systems
  • Ability to manage a multi-line switchboard effectively
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Compassionate and patient-centered approach to service

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience working in a healthcare setting

  • Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMRs) and other healthcare software
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
