Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site position for an Art Teacher based in Darien, CT. The Art Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging art lessons tailored to diverse age groups and skill levels. Responsibilities include developing creative curriculum, leading painting and craft workshops, and fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all participants. The role also involves collaborating with the team to organize and execute classes, events, and workshops.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Lesson Planning and Curriculum Development to create engaging and educational art activities
- Experience in Teaching and Art Education, particularly with diverse age groups
- Strong skills in Painting and other relevant art techniques
- Ability to foster creativity and maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Art Education, Fine Arts, or a related field is preferred
- Previous experience in a studio or creative classroom setting is a plus
