[Remote] Management Company Accounting Specialist
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Standish Management, LLC is a provider of specialized fund administration services for Managers and General Partners of private equity funds. They are seeking an Accounting Specialist to handle accounting for management companies of various venture capital and private equity funds across North America.
Responsibilities
- Perform duties for accounts payable and receivable
- Book journal entries, bank reconciliations and maintain general ledger
- Reconcile credit cards and expense reports
- Assist with monthly or quarterly reporting requirements
- Prepare 1099s and provide support for federal, state and local tax compliance
- Maintain various web-based accounting platforms
- Work on ad hoc requests from the client
Skills
- A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance Required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
- Attention to detail
- Ability to multitask
- Ability to work in a team and individually
- Ability to effectively communicate to team members
- Strong organizational skills and work ethic
- 0-1 year of accounting and general ledger experience preferred
- Familiarity with QuickBooks or other accounting software
