Responsibilities

• Team o Consults with Creative, Account, Market Access Strategy, and Editorial teams to develop compelling medical content across all digital and print media  o Mentors and supervises medical writers, ensuring the accuracy and relevance of their work o Supervises direct reports, with responsibility for coaching, performance conversations/evaluations, and development o Works with Project Management to manage workload to meet individual and direct report(s) billable utilization targets  o Fosters a culture of continuous improvement and innovation

• Key Responsibilities o Develops a deep understanding of assigned products, related medical areas, and competitors o Leads and independently executes development of content to craft compelling and differentiating brand stories, including data analysis for a wide range of complex projects  o Ensures all resources are accurate, clear, and compliant with regulatory guidelines o Guides submissions for client medical/regulatory approval processes and helps to incorporate client and regulatory feedback o Identifies sources consistent with Petauri’s standards for referencing and citations o Proactively suggests new and innovative ways to present data o Leads and supports client interactions; defending work and perspectives o Demonstrates expertise in prioritizing, managing, and executing projects across multiple clients to meet associated deadlines

• Operations o Drives research and development efforts for new business pitches, contributing to strategic recommendations and the medical portion of pitch presentations o Educates internal staff on medical topics relevant to client’s brands o Works with creative to develop accurate and effective imagery and layouts

Requirements

• Advanced degree in a relevant medical or scientific field; or the equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience • 5+ years of experience writing and supporting content development in medical or scientific roles, specifically in market access • Experience in multiple therapeutic areas; launch experience is preferred • Strong strategic thinking, analytical skills, and the ability to distil complex data into actionable insights • Familiarity with FDA marketing regulations, AMA style and industry best practices  • Manages time effectively and is a good multi-tasker • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills • Demonstrated experience working with and successfully managing, motivating, and developing team members • Ability to drive change and achieve results in a dynamic environment • Periodic travel to client sites or events may be require

Summary

The Associate Medical Director is responsible for understanding the clinical aspects and market access implications of your assigned brands in depth. You will serve as a key strategic resource for both internal teams and clients, developing content that leads to brand differentiation and exceeds access goals. Collaborating with account and market access strategy, you will ensure the clinical and market access relevance of resources, in addition to your direct reports.
