Vehicle & Systems Integration Engineer I

Daimler Truck North America is seeking a Vehicle & Systems Integration Engineer in Driver Experience to develop features enhancing driver experience and productivity. The role involves collaborating with global engineers and local product strategy to deliver impactful solutions and execute continuous improvement projects.

Responsibilities

  • Define use cases for driver experience features such as navigation and speech control
  • Develop feature and system documentation for driver experience features
  • Align feature capabilities and requirements with product strategy
  • Verify features requirements on bench and vehicle to ensure design quality
  • Review issue reports from vehicle validation and customer feedback
  • Execute continuous improvement projects to increase team efficiency

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
  • 0-2 years of experience
  • Strong fundamentals in engineering and system development
  • Proven ability to rapidly learn and apply new technologies
  • Ability to build relationships and collaborate with peers
  • Initiative and ownership of your area of responsibility
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Drive for continuous learning and self-improvement
  • Comfort with ambiguity and willingness to tackle problems outside your immediate expertise
  • An attached resume is required
  • Experience in automotive or commercial vehicle industry
  • Demonstrated passion for customer focus and problem solving
