Data Entry Clerk
Plugz Electric is an electrical services company based in Forest Lake, MN, seeking a Data Entry Clerk to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately transferring information into the database system and performing various administrative tasks related to data management.
Responsibilities
- Use a keyboard, optical scanners, or other office equipment to transfer information into the database system
- Collect information directly from customers and enter information into the database
- Create accurate spreadsheets in Microsoft Excel
- Confirm accuracy of data by comparing to original documents
- Create reports or otherwise retrieve data from the database
- Perform regular backups of data
- Maintain an organized filing system of original documents
Skills
- High school diploma/GED
- Skilled in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Understanding of databases
- Familiarity with standard office equipment such as fax machines and printers
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Previous experience as a Data Entry Clerk or in a similar position is preferred
