Key Responsibilities:
As a Revenue Accounting Specialist II, you will be responsible for performing fundamental accounting functions, including:
- Reviewing accounting data to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Processing refund claims and updating journal vouchers in a timely manner
- Investigating and resolving accounting discrepancies, including communication with external contacts as necessary
- Completing data entry of accounting information with high accuracy and attention to detail
- Modifying and reviewing daily passenger ticket and ancillary refund requests
- Distributing and storing month-end closing statistics reports
- Performing various tasks and ad-hoc activities as assigned by the immediate supervisor/manager to support the department's/organization's achievement of goals and business objectives
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and skills:
- High School diploma or GED equivalency required; Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related business field preferred
- Aircraft/travel industry accounting experience is an asset
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Knowledge of general accounting principles and systems
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks with minimal supervision
- Intelligent and analytical ability to reason and problem-solve
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
