Responsibilities

As a Remote Pharmacy Data Entry Specialist, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Accurately reviewing, interpreting, and entering patient medication information into our PC system.
  • Calculating dosages, assigning directions, and processing insurance payments with precision and attention to detail.
  • Communicating with pharmacies and insurance agencies to verify order accuracy and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Handling patient calls to clarify medication requests and reorders, verifying benefits and ensuring seamless communication.
  • Collaborating with our team to ensure timely and accurate processing of patient medication orders.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications:

  • Valid Arizona Pharmacy Technician License required.
  • 6+ months of experience working in a pharmacy setting, with a strong understanding of pharmacy operations and patient care.
  • 6+ months of experience with Windows-based applications (Windows, Microsoft Office, web browsing, email), with proficiency in keyboarding and data entry.
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods (8-10 hours), with a focus on maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.

While not required, the following experiences will be highly valued:

  • Experience as a Pharmacy Technician, with a strong understanding of pharmacy operations and patient care.
  • Experience handling and resolving customer inquiries via phone, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Experience with healthcare, benefits, and insurance, with a strong understanding of medical billing, coding, and clinical support roles.
  • Customer service experience in an office environment, with a focus on providing timely and accurate support to patients and customers.
  • Experience with inbound and outbound telephone customer care, with a strong understanding of communication and interpersonal skills.
