POSITION OVERVIEW: Under the general direction of the Online Principal, the Online Secondary Humanities Teacher delivers high-quality, standards-based instruction in a classical virtual learning environment. This educator demonstrates a deep passion for the Great Books, American history, literature, and civics, and is skilled in facilitating discussion-based, text-centered instruction. The teacher cultivates intellectual curiosity, moral reasoning, and civic virtue, guiding scholars in the exploration of enduring ideas through primary sources and the great works of Western civilization. Through engaging and interactive online lessons, the teacher fosters literacy, critical thinking, and thoughtful discourse, while nurturing a deep appreciation for America’s founding principles and the Western tradition.
