This position can be based remotely within the United States.

Essential Functions

  • Lead revenue strategy for a portfolio of hotels, driving topline performance through optimized pricing, inventory controls, and demand-based decision-making.
  • Develop and execute transient, group, and extended-stay strategies based on forward-looking demand, market conditions, and property-specific objectives.
  • Own hotel-level forecasting and budgeting and pacing analysis, ensuring accuracy and proactive identification of risks and opportunities.
  • Monitor and enforce rate parity and inventory availability across all channels in alignment with brand and ownership expectations.
  • Provide clear, data-driven performance notes that explain the root causes (“why”) of major variances versus forecast, budget, and prior year, as requested by leadership.
  • Prepare and facilitate the regular revenue meetings.
  • Review sales opportunities and provide recommendations that support the performance and profitability strategies of the hotel.
  • Act as revenue management system subject matter expert, owning the settings, influences, and overrides that contribute to overall system optimization.
  • Analyze month end reporting and critique prior strategies for opportunities to continually improve performance.
  • Manage/monitor Central Reservations System, Global Distribution Systems and third-party business intelligence tools to ensure alignment with strategy and intended outcomes.
  • Assist in preparation of monthly reporting, forecasts, annual budget, and business plans.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices to drive continuous performance improvement.

Supportive Functions

In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be determined by the requirements of each hotel.

  • Professionally represent the hotel by participating in hotel owner meetings, hotel brand, and industry functions.
  • Develop working relationships with hotel sales and operations leaders, providing consultation on strategies for booking optimal group, catering, and special corporate business.
  • Continually monitor actions of competitive hotels (product quality improvements, supply changes, pricing strategies, service offerings, etc.) and market demand drivers.

Other Functions

  • Travel as required to property meetings, training, industry events, and corporate meetings.
  • Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Employees with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
  • Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel. In addition, attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings is required.
  • Upon employment, all employees are required to fully comply with Crestline Hotels & Resorts rules and regulations for the safe and effective operation of the hotel’s facilities. Employees who violate hotel rules and regulations will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.

Additional Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Administration, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum three years hotel management experience with at least one year revenue management experience.
  • Priority given to individuals with Hyatt and/or IHG revenue management experience. Willing to entertain candidates with revenue management experience in any two or more major brands.
  • Proficient in effective hotel pricing concepts, yield management system optimization, and selling strategies.
  • Essential statistical and analytical skills required to identify revenue opportunities and shortfalls.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience working collaboratively with hotel sales and operations leadership.
  • Ability to thrive in a multi-tasked and fast-paced environment while working both independently and cross-functionally to achieve strategic goals.
