Remote Bidding, Take-offs, and Estimator

Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented Remote Bidding, Take-offs, and Estimatorprofessional to support the estimating and bidding process by researching current bid opportunities, preparing accurate take-offs, and assisting with the development and submission of estimates. This role involves reviewing drawings and bid documents to define project scope, analyzing material, labor, and equipment requirements, and organizing bid packages for submission through various platforms. The position requires strong technical aptitude, attention to detail, and consistent follow-up on submitted bids. The ideal candidate has experience in construction estimating, preferably within fencing, along with familiarity with bidding platforms, job management software, and the ability to support additional administrative tasks as needed. Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and track current bids through online platforms.
  • Prepare take-offs and document key details for the office to generate estimates.
  • Progress toward independently preparing and submitting estimates.
  • Consistently follow up on all submitted bids to track status and outcomes.
  • Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents to define project scope and requirements.
  • Analyze material, labor, and equipment quantities to ensure accurate pricing.
  • Prepare and organize bid packages and supporting documentation for submission.
  • Support additional administrative related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Strong English communication skills (written and spoken).
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills.
  • Experience with take-offs, estimating, and bidding.
  • Technically inclined and detail-oriented.
  • Experience in construction, preferably fencing.
  • Experience in estimating and bidding platforms (e.g., PlanHub, ConstructConnect).
  • Tech-savvy; experience with government contracts is a plus.
  • Experience with Joober highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets), preferred.
  • Sound judgment and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Reliable computer (Windows 10 or newer), two monitors, and stable high-speed internet.
