Job Description: Cybersecurity / Vulnerability Management Specialist (Remote) Job Title: Cybersecurity / Vulnerability Management Specialist Experience Level: Senior (8+ Years) Employment Type: Contract Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Vulnerability Management Specialist to support enterprise cybersecurity initiatives. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying, analyzing, prioritizing, and tracking security vulnerabilities across systems and applications. This role requires strong expertise in risk assessment, remediation tracking, and reporting to ensure compliance with organizational security standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform vulnerability assessments and maintain a comprehensive vulnerability inventory.
  • Establish and maintain baseline security configurations.
  • Classify and prioritize vulnerabilities based on risk impact and business criticality.
  • Track and manage vulnerability remediation efforts across teams.
  • Validate remediation activities using supporting evidence such as vulnerability scan results.
  • Generate regular status reports and dashboards for stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely resolution of security issues.
  • Support continuous improvement of vulnerability management processes and tools.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in vulnerability management or cybersecurity domain.
  • Strong experience in:
  • Vulnerability inventory and baseline establishment
  • Risk classification and prioritization
  • Vulnerability remediation tracking
  • Reporting and documentation
  • Validation of remediation through scan results and evidence
  • Hands-on experience with vulnerability scanning tools and security frameworks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Work Environment

  • Work will be performed during standard business hours with flexibility based on project needs.
  • May require occasional extended hours, weekends, or on-call support.
