Job Summary

The Data Entry Specialist – Care Coordination will be responsible for inputting, updating, and maintaining client data related to healthcare services, referrals, and outreach efforts. This position requires strong attention to detail, accuracy, and proficiency in MS Excel and Office 365. As a field-based and remote position in the Chicagoland area, you will have the flexibility to work from anywhere while still being part of a dynamic and supportive team.

Key Responsibilities

• Enter, update, and verify client and case management data in internal systems, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in our care coordination efforts.

  • Maintain accurate records related to healthcare services, referrals, and outreach efforts, adhering to data security and HIPAA regulations.
  • Ensure data integrity and consistency across all platforms, identifying and correcting data discrepancies or errors.
  • Utilize MS Excel to organize, sort, and analyze data as needed, providing valuable insights to inform our care coordination strategies.
  • Leverage Office 365 applications (Word, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint) for documentation and communication, streamlining our processes and enhancing collaboration.
  • Work closely with care coordinators and administrative staff to process client information efficiently, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to data security and HIPAA regulations, upholding the trust and integrity of our organization.

Essential Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in data entry, preferably in a healthcare or social services setting.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with a keen eye for data integrity and consistency.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, with experience in data analysis and reporting.
  • Familiarity with Office 365 applications (Word, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint), with the ability to learn and adapt to new tools and technologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to data security and HIPAA regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a care coordination or case management setting.

  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHRs) and other healthcare software systems.
  • Certification in medical records or a related field (e.g., CMA, RMA).
