Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Principal DevOps Engineer to join our team at arenaflex. As a key member of our DevOps team, you will be responsible for driving the development and implementation of DevOps tooling, practices, and culture across the organization. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the adoption of best practices, including transparency, flexibility, accessibility, security, and cost-effectiveness. Key Responsibilities

* Lead the development and implementation of DevOps strategies, including the design and development of tools, practices, and culture.

  • Establish and maintain DevOps best practices, including version control, code review, automated testing, and deployment techniques.
  • Design and manage infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or similar, to provision and manage assets across cloud environments.
  • Execute and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, CircleCI, or similar, to ensure fast and reliable application deployment.
  • Collaborate with security and compliance teams to ensure that teams are adhering to industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and analyze DevOps pipelines and practices, identifying areas for improvement, development, and automation to enhance deployment consistency and accuracy.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging data technologies, trends, and best practices, and make recommendations for their adoption within the organization's DevOps environment.
  • Coach and provide technical guidance to junior colleagues, promoting a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning.

Required Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

  • Experience working in open cloud environments, GCP (e.g., Google Cloud Platform), Azure, or AWS, and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Proficiency in infrastructure as code concepts and tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) for automating asset provisioning and deployment.
  • Active involvement in CI/CD pipeline tools (e.g., Jenkins, CircleCI) and version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Strong programming skills in languages like Python, Java, or similar.
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate complex DevOps stage issues and provide effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, Cloud Logging Services) to ensure application performance and system health.

  • Knowledge of security best practices in DevOps, including experience with vulnerability scanning, compliance frameworks, and secure deployment practices.
  • Leadership experience, including mentoring and directing junior professionals, is a plus.
