Experienced Ocean Product Development Specialist – Remote Opportunity at arenaflex

Job Summary:
As an Ocean Product Development Specialist at arenaflex, you'll play a critical role in supporting the growth of ocean volumes and enhancing the development of our ocean product. You'll work closely with our MD of Ocean, carrier development teams, and other stakeholders to implement strategies that increase volumes, maximize competitiveness, and enhance service quality. Your expertise will be essential in analyzing carrier service, routings, carrier performance, and supporting carrier service issues. You'll also support sales and operations as an ocean subject matter expert, providing valuable insights and guidance to drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
* Execute strategies to support the growth of ocean volumes and enhance the development of the ocean product
- Work closely with the MD of Ocean to support carrier development, pricing, and analyzing carrier service, routings, and carrier performance
- Assist in implementing pricing programs and reviewing volume targets to ensure alignment with business objectives
- Develop and communicate strategies to increase volumes, maximize competitiveness, and enhance service quality
- Collaborate with sales and operations teams to ensure compliance with policies and procedures, minimizing company risk exposure and enhancing service quality
- Conduct regular service reviews to ensure agreed-upon KPIs are met or exceeded
- Gather, analyze, and report information regarding performance and competitive activity, submitting reports as required
- Work with the MD of Ocean and regional ocean management team to promote the ocean product and support sales and operations as needed
- Manage annual budget, controlling, monitoring, and reporting results on a regular basis to achieve budget targets
- Collaborate with marketing to develop external and internal communications specific to the ocean product
Essential Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- At least 8 years of experience in the international freight forwarding industry, including direct ocean experience in working with ocean contracts, negotiating ocean rates, quoting ocean rates, and analyzing ocean rates and routing
- Prior ocean carrier experience is a plus
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Business-oriented and remarkable business acumen
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

- Knowledge of ocean carrier operations and logistics
- Familiarity with ocean freight market trends and analysis
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits:
As a Colorado resident, you'll be eligible for an annual salary of $57,836.00 - $131,686.00, depending on your specific skills, experience, and qualifications. We also offer a range of benefits and perks, including:
