[Contractor] Senior Software Engineer (.NET)

About The Role We are looking for a highly skilled and proactive Senior Fullstack Engineer to join our team. In this role, you'll work on end-to-end development of scalable web applications, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact solutions for one of our clients. Engagement Details Contract Type: This is a contractor position for temporary, project-based engagements. Compensation: Payment is made in USD. Some activities you would do on a typical day at Cheesecake Labs Develop and maintain Web/Mobile applications Develop and maintain fullstack solutions using .NET Make sure the application has a great user experience Assist in the creation and implement mockups Build docker images that can run on top of AWS or other PaaS Model databases using MySQL, Postgres, DynamoDB and others Writing automated tests for web components and APIs Write beautiful, readable, and scalable code Review the code of other developers Interact with other teams and professionals, including other developers, designers, project managers, and stakeholders Make sure the application solves real-world problems Understand the needs of our partners and come up with solutions for their problems Participate in Sprint Plannings and daily stand-up meetings Build estimates and plan roadmaps In order to succeed, you'll likely need the following skills Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering or a related field 5+ years of experience with .NET Experience building RESTful backend applications Experience with React.js and/or other Single Page Application (SPA) libraries Experience with Git and version control best practices Experience working with both relational and non-relational databases Strong knowledge of clean code practices, design patterns, and reactive programming Solid understanding of software design principles Customer-centric mindset and strong experience in client-facing roles Strong communication skills, both verbal and written Self-taught mindset and eagerness to continuously learn To participate in this selection process, you must have a valid business registration in your country (such as CNPJ, VAT, EIN, or equivalent), a bank account eligible to receive payments in USD, and be able to issue invoices accordingly.
