Software Engineer with Strong PICK/Multivalue Skills

We are seeking a Software Engineer with strong MultiValue /PICK skills to join our development organization supporting multiple customer teams. This role focuses on the development, enhancement, maintenance, and modernization of enterprise child support systems built on MultiValue (PICK / UniVerse) technologies, while collaborating with team members working across both legacy and modern platforms. Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and implement software enhancements and defect fixes across customer environments
  • Maintain and support legacy MultiValue (PICK / UniVerse / MultiValue) applications while contributing to ongoing modernization efforts
  • Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into well‑designed, maintainable solutions
  • Write clean, efficient, and well‑documented code following Auctor development standards
  • Collaborate with developers, QA, operations, and business analysts across customer development teams
  • Participate in Agile development activities including sprint planning, refinement, reviews, and retrospectives
  • Assist with troubleshooting production issues and participate in root‑cause analysis when needed
  • Contribute to technical documentation, including design notes, implementation details, and support artifacts
  • Leverage available tools and technologies (including AI‑assisted capabilities) to improve efficiency and solution quality

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Technical Skills

  • Strong experience with MultiValue development (PICK Basic / UniVerse Basic or equivalent)
  • Experience supporting enterprise‑level applications in a production environment
  • Understanding of database concepts and file/table maintenance in a MultiValue environment
  • Familiarity with Windows and/or Linux operating environments
  • Ability to read, understand, and work within an established legacy codebase

Preferred / Additional Skills

  • Experience with SQL / T‑SQL or relational databases
  • Scripting experience (PowerShell, shell scripting, or similar)
  • Exposure to modernization efforts (web services, APIs, UI modernization, integration work)
  • Experience working in Agile development environments

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education, training, and professional experience)
  • 5+ years of software development experience, including enterprise application support or development
  • Prior experience supporting government or public‑sector systems is a plus

Additional Information

  • This position may support multiple customers, environments, and codebases.
  • The candidate must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Remote work must accommodate Eastern Time (EST) business hours.
  • Salary - $85,000+, depending on experience
