Job Summary: Audit Officer: Partners with their assigned Line of Business, other Risk, Compliance, and Audit professionals, and RCA Managers to create, implement, maintain, review, or oversee an effective risk management framework. Participates in projects and activities that ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Identifies gaps and recommends solutions to minimize losses resulting from inadequate internal processes, systems, or human error. Identifies, responds to, and escalates risks as appropriate, serving as a functional liaison between the Line of Business and the Lines of Defense. Benefits:

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with audit management to plan audit engagements, including understanding risks, risk management approaches, business processes, key risks, and critical controls.
  • Direct or oversee staff auditors performing control testing in accordance with audit program guidelines, including appropriate sampling and testing techniques.
  • Review and document audit work to support conclusions and ensure compliance with internal audit standards.
  • Develop audit issue statements under audit leadership guidance, including identifying risks, impact, root causes, and cost-effective recommendations.
  • Assist in the preparation and completion of audit reports during the audit closeout phase.
  • Apply feedback and insights gained through coaching to improve performance.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • More than five years of relevant professional experience.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Strong knowledge of the financial services industry, including financial reporting, accounting principles, tax regulations, SOX requirements, regulatory compliance, and risk management.
  • In-depth understanding of the Global Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing.
  • CIA, CPA, or other relevant professional certification or advanced degree.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet competing deadlines.

Work Schedule: This role follows a hybrid work schedule requiring in-office presence for a minimum of three days per week, with remote work available on remaining days.
